If you have bought NVivo or were assigned a license (or 'seat', under an enterprise license), a notification email contains download links for the app. You can buy up to 5 NVivo licenses. If you have an NVivo license for NVivo 12, NVivo 11 and NVivo 10, you can download the version you require within the myNVivo portal. On the Download NVivo page, older versions are listed under the heading ‘Download Older Versions of NVivo’. Click the drop down to see all versions available to download. Students, faculty and staff may obtain the software by clicking the Download NVivo button. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, users will be presented with a download link and the current software license key. Please note, multiple versions of NVivo are available (NVivo 11, 12 and the latest version), please use the appropriate software key for the version of NVivo you choose to download.

NVivo projects can be transferred between NVivo for Windows and NVivo for Mac. NVivo for Windows and NVivo for Mac projects have different project file formats, but can be converted from one to the other using NVivo for Windows. Users who are familiar with NVivo for Windows should be aware that NVivo for Mac doesn’t contain all the same features as NVivo for Windows.
